Confession

The School Year has not even started, but I am changing up our curriculum a little. I am concerned about my oldest doing LBC totally independent. I didn't start him on Charlotte Mason and lots of reading books, he started in public school. He very much just wants to get school done and not mess around with crafts. I tallied up his reading for Monday, Day1 of school. Using LBC Grade 4 plus LLATL Tan he will be asked to read 73 pages in one day! I think he would be overwhelmed with that and so I have chosen to modify things a little. I am going to use Notgrass Exploring Georgia as a spine for the year, doing it only 2 days a week though. I chose 7 of the Civil War books and 8 of the Middle Ages from LBC to do as well. This will take out about 20 books he was going to have to read and allow us to go at a slower pace. I will post hopefully Monday evening with pictures of our 1st day of school! :)
